Snake Road
In the fall of 2017, I spent a wonderful nine days camping in the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois and explored the famed Snake Road. During that trip, I observed many species of reptiles and amphibians, for which the road is known (and named), but I also enjoyed the many stunning sights and unexpected finds of the region. If you would like to read more about my trip, check out my article "9 Days on Snake Road" in the March/April 2018 issue of Reptiles Magazine and on their website at http://www.reptilesmagazine.com/9-Days-On-Shawnee-National-Forests-Snake-Road-Of-Illinois/.
